7月9日-16日，欧洲景观设计教育联盟（ECLAS）主席西蒙· 贝尔（Simon Bell）教授应哈尔滨工业大学建筑学院景观系副教授余洋老师的邀请，到访建筑学院，开展为期一周的学术交流活动。
这是Simon Bell教授第二次到访我院。在本次活动中，教授进行了五场讲座，从地质、生态、气候和文化等角度完整的讲述了《 LANDSCAPE: Pattern and Process》的内容，解读了不同的景观模式特征、形成过程及其形成原因。并在随后的凤凰山国家地质公园的场地调研中，为同学们讲解了地质变化对景观模式的影响。同期，Simon Bell教授和余洋老师共同完成了《景观体验认知实习》的本科生课程。教授为同学们讲解如何用速写的方式快速地阅读景观、记录景观，并展示了如何用不同的绘图铅笔，快速的表现地形地貌、地表植被等景观特征。在短短的几天时间内，教授的英式教学让同学们受益良多。教授还与我院景观系的教师科研团队进行了学术交流，针对生态规划、生态设计等方面的内容交换了建议和看法。
Simon Bell教授已经连续两届担任ECLAS的主席，该联盟是欧洲景观设计教育重要的交流平台，其成员国涵盖了欧洲重要的国家和学校，旗下的官方杂志《JoLA》也是景观行业重要的学术交流媒体。教授不仅在欧洲的景观教育界有着重要的影响力，还发表了诸多著作，其中《景观的视觉设计要素》、《户外游憩设计》已经翻译成中文，并多次再版。
Simon Bell教授此次来访为我院与欧洲景观设计教育的交流与合作奠定了深化发展的基础。在未来的三年内，教授还将继续到访我院，开展后续的科研和教学方面的合作研究。
From July 9th to 16th, Professor Simon Bell, President of the European Council of Landscape Architecture School (ECLAS) at the invitation of Yu Yang who is the associate professor in the Department of Landscape of School of Architecture at Harbin Institute of Technology , visited the School of Architecture carrying out a week-long academic communication activities.
This is the second time that Professor Simon Bell came to our school. On this occasion, Professor Simon Bell delivered five lectures in terms of geology, ecology, climate and cultural to completely view about the content of LANDSCAPE: Pattern and Process, which unscrambles the different characteristics of the pattern of landscape, the process and reasons of formation. Furthermore, in the subsequent field investigation of Phoenix Mountain National Park, Professor Simon Bell explained the effects of geological changes in the landscape mode for the students. Over the corresponding period, Professor Simon Bell together with Professor Yu Yang completed the Landscape experience cognitive practice in undergraduate courses. In the process, Professor Simon Bell explained how to read the landscape and record the landscape quickly in the way of sketching, demonstrating how to use the different kinds of drawing pencils to performance landscape features, such as topography and vegetation. In the period of a few days, students benefited a lot from British model. Professor Simon Bell also conducted academic communication and exchanged proposals and views for the content of ecological planning, ecological design and other aspectswith the teachers and research teams inDepartment of Landscape Architecture in our school.
Professor Simon Bell has been reappointed as the presidentof ECLAS for two terms, which is an important landscape design education platform. The members of ECLAS include the European famous nations and schools. What’s more, its official magazine, JoLA is an significant academic exchanging media in landscape industry. Professor Simon Bell not only has major influence in the education of landscape sector in Europe, but also has published many books. His works such as Visual Landscape Design Element and Outdoor Recreation Design have been translated into Chinese, and reprinted many times.
Professor Simon Bell's visiting laid the foundation for the further development of our school, including exchanging ideas and cooperating with the European landscape design education. In the next three years, Professor Simon Bell will continue to visit our school for follow-up collaborative cooperation in researches and courses.
